Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was forced to leave the field due to cramps on Saturday, made a remarkable comeback on Sunday, scoring an impressive 214 not out as India secured a 434-run victory over England in Rajkot. This win propelled India to a 2-1 lead in the five-match Test series, leaving just two matches remaining. Jaiswal shared his thoughts exclusively with JioCinema on ‘Match Centre Live’ after the game.
After smashing double century, Jaiswal said: “If you see, in India, you work really hard. Even when you go to catch a bus, train, or any mode of transport, you have to try really hard. I have done that since my childhood and I know how important every innings is. That’s why I work hard in practice as I know every innings counts. The biggest motivation for me is to play for my country and I know I need to give my 100 percent.”
Following his impressive display against James Anderson, Jaiswal shared his opinion, I was in a fantastic rhythm. I sensed the opportunity to take on his deliveries and executed my shots effectively. Knowing Anderson’s caliber, I made sure to connect well when I went for the hits. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
