The Final match of IPL 2023, officially postponed by one day, and now will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Reserve Day, which is May 29.
While the MS Dhoni-led CSK defeated the defending champion Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 to advance to the final, the Mumbai Indians defeated the five-time champions to make it to the final for the second time in a row.
As the IPL 2023 Closing Ceremony and toss approached, the weather began to change as rain ruined the planned IPL Final. Although there was a complete switch to the Reserve Day, there was some hope that the game could still go on with fewer overs per inning. This is not the first time a cricket match has been moved to a reserve day, though.
Fans and cricket enthusiasts were reminded of MS Dhoni’s final international game as soon as officials declared it suspended for the day. A sudden suspension occurred during India’s semifinal ODI World Cup match against New Zealand on July 10, 2019.
As a result, fans began speculating that it might be MS Dhoni’s final IPL game and dubbed the situation a “Deja Vu”

Some fans began talking about their desire to watch the legend play one final time, if it is possible, while others prayed that history won’t repeat itself and they won’t have to say goodbye to the legend and former India captain MS Dhoni.
