“There Is No Cheat Code” – Suryakumar Yadav Reacts To Virat Kohli’s Tweet Following His Second T20I Century

Team India batter Suryakumar Yadav has taken international cricket by storm this year, especially T20I cricket. He left the fans and the experts in awe, as he slammed his second T20I century on Sunday, November 20 at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. Following his match-winning knock, former India skipper Virat Kohli took to Twitter to praise his team-mate. Suryakumar Yadav reacted to Kohli’s tweet in his interview with Yuzvendra Chahal.

Suryakumar Yadav has been the leading run-scorer in T20Is so far this, and the highest-ranked batter in the format. The swashbuckling cricketer smashed 111 runs off 51 deliveries, including eleven boundaries and seven sixes, at a strike rate of 217.65. Praising Suryakumar Yadav, Virat Kohli wrote on Twitter,Numero Uno showing why he’s the best in the world. Didn’t watch it live but I’m sure this was another video game innings by him. @surya_14kumar”

Reacting to Virat Kohli’s Tweet on Chahal TV, Suryakumar Yadav expressed that he has enjoyed his time with Virat Kohli. He added, that he has practiced hard in the nets, to achieve this success. The 33-year-old stated that he wants to play the T20I format with the right intent. Suryakumar Yadav said,

“It feels very good when everybody messages me and tweets about me. I learned a lot from Sachin Tendulkar when we played franchise cricket. I have been enjoying my time with Virat Kohli recently. But, I want to say that there is no cheat code. I do what I have practiced in the nets, don’t want to change anything. I want to play this format with the right intent, it’s very important.”

Suryakumar Yadav further expressed that he doesn’t want to think much while batting out in the middle. He stated that he doesn’t take the pressure, but enjoys his time at the crease. The Indian cricketer added that the fear of failure is less when the player doesn’t carry any baggage on the field. He said,

“I want to play with the right intent, I don’t want to think much in the middle. Thinking will happen in the room and the practice sessions. You can’t come here and think. You can’t take the pressure, you have to try and enjoy. The percentage of fear of failure should be less and I don’t carry any baggage.”

Team India will take on New Zealand in the third and final T20I on Tuesday, November 22 at McLean Park, Napier. The Hardik Pandya-led team is leading the series 1-0, after securing a 65-runs win in the second T20I in Mount Maunganui.
