Users of the social media site, Twitter, have lashed out at Krunal Pandya after his spat with Deepak Hooda has resulted in his exit from the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA).
Earlier in the year prior to the start of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Baroda captain Krunal Pandya was called out by Deepak Hooda for abusive behavior. He abandoned the bio-bubble that was kept in place for the players.
In a detailed letter to the BCA, Hooda stated that he was allegedly abused by his skipper which led him to take such drastic measures. Hooda had explicitly mentioned that the altercations resulted in depression and that he was completely demoralized.
“Today I was practicing in nets and doing my preparation for tomorrow’s game with the permission of Head Coach Mr Prabhkar. Then Krunal came in nets started misbehaving with me. I told him that I’m doing my preparation with the permission of the head coach. He told me that ‘I’m the captain, who is the head coach?’ Then he stopped my practice showing his Dadagiri,” Hooda had written in the letter.
Deepak Hooda to ply his trade for Rajasthan
Following the events, he decided to switch allegiance and requested an NOC from his state association. After procuring the same, it was announced that Hooda will be playing for Rajasthan in the upcoming season. Meanwhile, Krunal Pandya is yet to make a statement on the matter.
Irfan Pathan was unimpressed with the way things were handled. Others also expressed anguish and expected BCA to deal with things more pragmatically. Several users on Twitter lambasted the elder Pandya brother.
Here are a few reactions after Deepak Hooda decided to leave Baroda:
How many cricket association will loose out on a player who is in the Indian team probables list? Deepak Hooda leaving baroda cricket is a huge loss. He could have easily given his services for another ten years as he is still young. As a Barodian It’s utterly disappointing!

Don't understand why no action was taken against @krunalpandya24 just because he is captain of the Baroda team. The Baroda Cricket Association should have investigated the matter before taking any action
