Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been recently targeted by the Twitterverse for his casteist tweet. On Thursday, Jadeja took to Twitter and took pride in him being a Rajput boy. Meanwhile, many felt that his comments were to support Suresh Raina who was also targeted by Twitter users for his religious and casteist comment. Jadeja is currently with the Indian team in England preparing for the five-match Test series against England.
On Thursday, taking to Twitter Ravindra Jadeja took pride on himself for coming from the background of a Rajput family. His trademark sword celebration is a gesture that he makes as a tribute to the culture.
“#RAJPUTBOY FOREVER. Jai hind,” Ravindra Jadeja tweeted.

Twitter Slams Ravindra Jadeja For Castesist Comments
Are you not ashamed to do such casteist talk as a cricketer? We are Indian firstly and lastly.

Why do you have to take pride in being Rajput. Why not Human forever. This kind of sect will create division. Sections are not good.. unite as humans.

No proudness comes from birth, if you claim so then that's the biggest sickness. Be proud for what you had become and not with labels which they imposed on you.

A few days ago former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina also faced the Twitter heat after making controversial casteist comments on a TNPL game.
“I think I’m also Brahmin. I have been playing since 2004 in Chennai. I love the culture, I love my teammates,” Suresh Raina said during the TNPL broadcast.
Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja had notable performances with the bat in the practice game in Durham. He scored 75 and 51 with the bat in the two innings and picked a wicket as well.
The entire Indian team had a good outing with the batsmen scoring runs and bowlers picking up wickets. Washington Sundar survived an injury and has been ruled out of the Test series which has increased problems for the Indian team.
