The rising stars of world cricket are all set to take centre stage during the ICC U19 Men’s World Cup 2024. The tournament commences on January 19 in South Africa. The hosts will take on West Indies, while Ireland will play against the USA in the double-header to kick off the tournament.
India will enter the U19 World Cup as the defending champions. They defeated England in the finals of the 2022 edition in the West Indies. Format
The sixteen teams have been divided into four groups of four teams each. Three teams from each group will progress to the Super Six Stages. They will be divided into two groups of six teams each. The top four will play the semi-finals, while the winners of those semi-finals will play the final. The bottom-placed teams will meet in placement games to determine finishing positions 13 to 16. The teams will also play two warm-up matches.
