BCCI Announces U19 Squad For Tri-Series And Men’s World Cup

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Tuesday, December 12 announced the U19 squad for the tri-series in South Africa and the much anticipated Men’s U19 World Cup. The tri-series between India, England and will kick off on December 29, 2023, with the final set to take place on January 10, 2024.

Following the series, India will begin their preparations for the U19 World Cup. They are in Group A with Bangladesh, Ireland and the USA. India begins their U19 World Cup campaign on January 20, 2024, against Bangladesh in Bloemfontein. They take on Ireland and the USA on January 25 and January 28 respectively.

The selectors have named a 15-member Indian U19 squad for the upcoming series as well as the World Cup, led by Punjab cricketer Uday Sharan. The squad boasts of Musheer Khan, Arshin Kulkarni, Murugan Abhishek and other talented players. The selectors have also named three travelling reserves for the tri-series in South Africa and four backup options.
