Indian woman cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy lost her mother after she was affected by the dreaded COVID-19 virus. He expired on April 24 and Veda took to Twitter to confirm the news. The Indian Women’s cricketer stated that she has received so many messages regarding her mother’s loss, and she really appreciates all of them.

Veda Krishnamurthy took to Twitter and wrote ” “Appreciate all the messages I have received about the loss of my Amma. As you can imagine my family is lost without her. We now pray for my sister. I have tested negative & appreciate if you can respect our privacy. My thoughts & prayers go out to those going through the same!!.

The Indian Women’s cricketer confirmed that she has tested negative, and concluded her tweet by stating that her thoughts go out to other people who are going through the same situation. Meanwhile, Veda has been an integral part of the Indian women’s team currently led by Mithali Raj. The right-handed batter has featured in 48 ODI matches for India and has scored 829 runs at an average of 25.90. She has also played 76 T20Is and has scored 875 runs at an average of 18.61.

Veda last played for India on the Women’s World T20 final against Australia on 8th March 2020. Australia under the leadership of Meg Lanning won the game by 85 runs. After piling up a total of 184/4 on the board, the Australian bowlers made life miserable for the Indian batters, and the ‘Women in Blue’ were bowled out for a meagre total of 99.

Meanwhile, the entire country is gripped in IPL fever at the moment. Royal Challengers Bangalore, who are topping the table will face second-placed Chennai Super Kings in the first of the two games in Mumbai in a day game. SRH then play Delhi Capitals in the evening game in Chennai.
