West Indies side has been at their best in the match against Pakistan. A balance in the side has certainly given them a chance to create an impact in the ongoing World Cup. While the side was highly spoken for their ability to put up a lot of runs on the board, their bowling hasn”t been talking of the town in recent days.
While the side was known for their fiery spells by a lot of legends in the past, we haven”t witnessed them recently. But now, with a young and fresh bowling line-up, the side is really troubling the opposition batsmen with their blend of bouncers and short balls.
One of the bowlers that deserves attention here is Sheldon Cottrell. Though he made his debut five years back for the side, he wasn”t given enough chances. But now, he has been an integral part of the team. Not just for his wicket taking abilities, but his special celebration after taking a wicket has attracted a lot of cricket fans. His “salute” celebration marks his dedication to the Jamaican defence, where he has been working for some time now.
In a recent video released by the official social media handle of ICC, Cottrell was seen teaching his celebration to a group of school kids who turned up for the game. In his training outfit, the 29-year old was seen teaching audaciously how to salute with pride. The video is currently rending in the social media and his craze has been exponentially increasing among the fans.
Cottrell now has over 40+ wickets in all formats of the game combined. West Indies side will be expecting him to deliver his best for their best chances to clinch the cup. Right from the England series, Cottrell has proved his wicket-taking abilities by providing crucial breakthroughs. Can he continue his dominance in the World cup?
