Smriti Mandhana to become first Indian to play in this League
The stylish left-handed batter made her first century against Australia in the second game of India’s tour of Australia 2016 where she scored 102 off 109 balls but India lost that match. Smriti Mandhana has been in brilliant form since the Women’s World Cup 2017. She has contributed well in the ODI series against Australia, England at home and also played well in the T20I tri-series involving Australia and England this year.
Smriti Mandhana represented India in two test matches scoring just 81 runs. In her debut test match against England, she made 22 and 51.
In the Women’s World Cup 2017 held in England, Smriti Mandhana was in brilliant form scoring 90 in the opening match of the tournament against eventual champions England and then scored a century against West Indies in India’s second game of the tournament.

Smriti Mandhana became the first Indian women to play for Women’s Big Bash League in 2016/2017 season for Brisbane Heats. In 2017 edition of WBBL, she just scored just 89 runs from 12 matches and was ruled out of the entire tournament after injuring her knee while fielding against Melbourne Renegades.
She became the first female Indian Cricketer to sign for Kia Super League 2018. She will play for the defending Western Storm this year.
In Women’s T20I matches, Smriti Mandhana has scored 767 runs from 36 matches with an average of 24.74. She has 5 half centuries to her name with the best score of 76. In this year’s tri-series involving Australia and England, the stylish left-handed Indian batter became the fastest Indian women to score a half-century off 30 balls against Australian women.
