Virat Kohli Names The Venue He’s Generally Eager To Play At

World Cup champion Virat Kohli, who will play in his home country during the World Cup, chose the location where he is most eager to compete.

Virat Kohli offered his initial thoughts on the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 schedule, which was unveiled on Tuesday in Mumbai, exactly 100 days before the competition’s opening match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5.

The 50-over World Cup is being hosted by India for the first time on its own. The previous three times, in 1987, 1996, and 2011.

They shared the hosting duties with countries from the subcontinent like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

The last time India won an ICC trophy was back in 2013 when MS Dhoni led the team to the Champions Trophy victory.

Kohli, who captained India in that tournament in England, will once again be one of the key players in India’s quest to end a decade-long wait for an ICC trophy.

According to 3, he will feel the same way about the Wankhede as he will about any other World Cup venue.

“For my part, I’m excited to perform in Mumbai. It would be wonderful to relive that atmosphere”, Kohli told ICC.

India defeated Sri Lanka in the championship match at the Wankhede Stadium to claim the 2011 World Cup title.
