Yesterday, it was expected that the Chennai Super Kings will make a statement against Delhi Capitals after losing their previous match. All eyes were on the CSK batsmen that batted with very less purpose during the chase of over 200 on a small Sharjah Cricket ground.
The CSK skipper MS Dhoni was expected to bat higher up the order and take the bull by the horns. However, CSK once again crumbled in their chase of 176 as their batsmen deceived once again. CSK were never in the game as their batsmen looked completely out of sorts.
Sehwag sarcastically takes a dig at CSK batsmen
Meanwhile, Social media trolls were expected as the second game in a row CSK lacked fearlessness in their batting. Former Indian player Virender Sehwag who was known for his audacious strokeplay, on Twitter sarcastically took a dig at the CSK batting line-up.
“Chennai ke batsman simply not getting going. Glucose chadwaake aana padega next match se batting karne”, Sehwag tweeted in his own unique way.

Well, Sehwag has never been afraid to speak his mind on social media. The former opening batsmen although had a piece of fair advice for Dhoni’s team who looked clueless and lacked intent and as a result, the required run rate kept climbing. Dhoni once again came out to bat when the match was already done and dusted.
Moreover, the absence of Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina is clearly hurting the consistent CSK side. Rayudu was sensational in the first match that CSK won against their nemesis Mumbai Indians. Unfortunately, Rayudu was injured and since then they haven’t been able to click together as a batting unit.
Furthermore, CSK will have to have to sort out their batting errors in the next match against Sunriders Hyderabad. Dhoni’s men will take on Sunrisers on 2 September (Friday) at Dubai. CSK now has a one week break to figure out where they went wrong in their back to back matches in IPL 2020.
