Quite often we see players getting affected on the field and one of them is getting hit by bouncers. Before too, we have seen players get hit by bouncers and once again it happened during the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match on Monday when West Indies’ batter Andre Fletcher was hit by a bouncer.

The dangerous incident took place in the seventh over of the match between Khulna Tigers and Chattogram Challengers when Rejaur Rahman Raja had bowled a bouncer which Fletcher tried to pull but eventually missed.

The ball hit his neck and Andre Fletcher immediately fell on the ground in immense pain. He kept struggling with the pain for a few minutes before he was taken off the field on the stretcher from the ground to give proper medical attention as well

However, the West Indian player was taken to the hospital for precaution and after the match, the team manager has said that Fletcher was out of danger now. And, Sikandar Raza has played in place of Fletcher as the concussion substitute during the match as well.

“he appeared to be okay” according to a BCB physician.

“He is out of danger but we are taking him to hospital as part of precaution,” Khulna Tigers manager Nafees Iqbal informed the media.

Speaking of the game, Khulna Tigers failed to chase down the score of 191 in their 20 overs and ended up losing the game by 25 runs in the end to the Chattogram Challengers. Rejaur Rahman turned out to be the pick of the bowlers from the winning side as he gave away just 20 runs and picked up two wickets as well.
