India fast bowler Arshdeep Singh shared a funny video in which he playfully pretended to reveal what Rohit Sharma said after Virat Kohli brought up his century in the first ODI against South Africa. The opening match of the three-game series took place on Sunday, November 30, at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.

India secured a 17-run win after putting 349 runs on the board in their 50 overs, but one of the most viral moments from the match was Rohit’s animated celebration of Kohli’s ton from the dressing room, with Arshdeep and Yashasvi Jaiswal sitting beside him.

On Monday, December 1, Arshdeep Singh posted a video on Instagram mentioning that he had received several messages asking what Rohit had actually said when Kohli reached his 52nd ODI century. He then humorously answered the question by lip-syncing to the lyrics of the song Neeli Pari Peeli Pari in the clip.

“Kalse bhot message aarahe hai ke Rohit bhai ne Virat bhai ki century par kya bola. Main batata hoon ke unhone bola ‘Neeli pari laal pari kamre mein band mujhe nadia pasand.’”

“I don’t believe in too much preparation” – Kohli on his Ranchi century

Virat Kohli was awarded the Player of the Match after scoring his 52nd ODI century in the series opener against South Africa. During the post-match presentation, while collecting the award, he said (as per Cricbuzz):

“I’ve never been a big believer of a lot of preparation, if that makes sense. All my cricket has been mental. As long as I feel mentally I can play the game, I work physically very hard every day of my life. It’s got nothing to do with cricket anymore. It’s the way I live.”

“So, as long as my fitness levels are up and my mental enjoyment and sharpness is there, when you can visualize the game and you see yourself running as hard, reacting fast on the ball, then you know it’s fine. I mean, one of the days when the game opens up and you get a start, you’ll be able to score some runs.”
