[WATCH] Arshdeep Singh Reveals Teammate With Funniest Bowling Action Before IND vs SA 1st ODI

Indian fast bowler Arshdeep Singh named the teammate he finds to have the funniest bowling action ahead of the ODI series against South Africa, which starts on Sunday, November 30, in Ranchi. During a rapid-fire interaction before the opening match, the left-arm pacer pointed to Jasprit Bumrah as the bowler with the most amusing action.

Despite his unusual bowling style, Bumrah has become one of the most successful wicket-takers in modern cricket across all formats. Since making his international debut in 2016, the Ahmedabad-born pacer has picked up 482 wickets in 221 matches.

Bumrah has played a vital role in India’s success in Test cricket and was a key figure in their 2024 T20 World Cup win. While speaking to Star Sports in the rapid-fire segment, Arshdeep responded with Bumrah’s name when asked about the funniest bowling action.

Bumrah Expected To Make Comeback For India In T20Is vs South Africa

Although Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the ODI series, he is expected to return for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa as India continue preparing for next year’s World Cup. India are the defending champions, having defeated South Africa by eight runs in the 2024 T20 World Cup final in Barbados.

Since Suryakumar Yadav replaced Rohit Sharma as captain, India have not lost a single T20 series. However, after a disappointing Test series defeat to South Africa, the hosts will first aim to regain momentum. They will take confidence from winning their last two ODI series against the Proteas, one at home and one away.

Despite this, India will be without several key players — Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, and Hardik Pandya, in addition to Mohammed Siraj and Bumrah.
