[WATCH]- Axar Patel Cleans Up Riyan Parag For 8, Takes First IPL 2025 Wicket

Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper Axar Patel set the tone with a key contribution in their IPL 2025 encounter against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday, April 16. The left-arm spinner broke the opening stand by removing Riyan Parag, who managed just 8 runs from 11 balls. RR were 76/1 at the time.

The breakthrough came in the ninth over, with Axar delivering a length ball on middle. Parag leaned in for a drive but missed as the ball spun away, beating the bat and hitting the stumps. He was well short of the ball’s line. This marked Axar’s first wicket of the season after going wicketless in his previous five outings. He’ll be eager to build on this performance moving forward.
