On 15th August 2020 at 7.29 pm MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket which shocked Indian fans. The ICC 2019 World Cup semi-final was his last international game for India after which he went on a hiatus from cricket. Finally on Independence Day last year, he decided to hang his boots and retire from the game after playing for 15 years.
Meanwhile, on the first anniversary of MS Dhoni’s international retirement, Chennai Super Kings decided to pay a tribute to India’s most successful captain. CSK’s Twitter handle posted a video where they looked back to the moment when Thala Dhoni was about to make his international retirement official.

The video features a host of cricketers who rubbed shoulders with Dhoni over the years, such as his CSK teammates Shane Watson, Imran Tahir, Mike Hussey and various Indian team players like Virat Kohli, Raina, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja. All of them mentioned how Dhoni has been over the years and how he has created an impact on their respective cricketing careers.
He made his debut for India in 2004 and played four 50-over World Cups for India. As a captain, he won three ICC titles (T20 World Cup, 50-Over World Cup and Champions Trophy). He also won a few Asia Cup titles as well as captain of the Indian team. Under him, India also topped the ICC Test rankings in 2009 as well.
MS Dhoni Will Be Back In IPL 2021 UAE Leg
MS Dhoni will be back for Chennai Super Kings in the UAE leg of IPL 2021. The season resumes with CSK playing Mumbai Indians in Dubai on September 19. In the first meeting between the two sides, MI won by four wickets chasing a mammoth 219. The side is placed second on the points table with 10 points from their first seven games.
