Rinku Singh Faces Continued Struggles with the Bat in IPL 2025

Although Rinku Singh played an important role in the match against DC, his batting was slower than usual. The left-handed batter scored 36 runs off 25 balls, including three fours and a six, with a strike rate of 144. Overall, this has been a disappointing season for Rinku, who was one of Kolkata Knight Riders’ key retentions before the mega auction.

In 10 matches, he has accumulated 169 runs at an average of 33.80 and a strike rate of 145.68. He has yet to score a half-century, with his highest score being an unbeaten 38. KKR, the defending champions, currently sit seventh on the points table with four wins from 10 matches.

With only four league-stage games remaining, KKR must win all of them to advance to the playoffs. In this critical situation, Rinku Singh, as one of their retained players, will need to elevate his batting performance.

Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) next match is scheduled for Sunday, May 4, 2025, against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, starting at 3:30 PM IST.
