[WATCH]- MI Players Tease Rinku Singh For Asking Rohit Sharma’s Bat After IPL 2025 Match

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh was lightheartedly teased by Mumbai Indians (MI) players after their IPL 2025 match on April 1. MI secured their first win of the season, defeating KKR by eight wickets. In a video shared by MI on their X handle, Rinku was seen in MI’s dressing room requesting Rohit Sharma’s bat.

The MI players playfully mocked him, with Tilak Varma joking that Rinku already has a bat in his name yet still wanted one from Rohit.

“He has a bat on his name and has such a nice badge still he is asking a bat from Rohit,” he said.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma took out a couple of bats from his bag and tested them while MI captain Hardik Pandya playfully questioned Rinku Singh. Ultimately, it was Rinku’s KKR teammate, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who received a bat from Rohit. You can watch the video here:

Rinku Singh has yet to deliver a strong performance with the bat for KKR

Reigning champions KKR are currently at the bottom of the IPL 2025 points table, having secured just one win in their first three matches. They began their campaign with a loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) but bounced back with an eight-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR). However, they suffered another setback with an eight-wicket defeat against Mumbai Indians (MI).

Star batter Rinku Singh has struggled to make an impact with the bat, managing only 29 runs across three games at an average of 14.50 and a strike rate of 120.83. He scored 12 runs in the opening match against RCB and did not get a chance to bat against RR. In the game against MI, he contributed 17 runs off 14 balls.

With his form under scrutiny, Rinku will be under pressure to deliver in KKR’s upcoming home match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday, April 3.
