A passionate Virat Kohli fan recently completed an incredible cycling journey from Siliguri to Gurugram in an attempt to meet the former India captain. The fan, identified as Abhishek Roy, travelled thousands of kilometres on his bicycle with the hope of getting a glimpse of his cricketing idol.
Roy shared updates from his journey through videos posted on his Instagram account. In one of the clips, he was seen standing outside Kohli’s Gurugram residence. However, he mentioned that he did not have permission to wait outside the bungalow, forcing him to continue his journey ahead.

The fan also decorated the front of his bicycle with a special Virat Kohli poster as a tribute to the star batter. He revealed that he had covered around 4,000 kilometres on his cycle and expressed his desire to meet Kohli personally.
In a similar instance, another cricket enthusiast undertook a 12-day cycling journey from Odisha to Bengaluru to meet Hardik Pandya. His efforts paid off as he got the opportunity to meet the all-rounder and gifted him a Lord Jagannath idol.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were last seen representing India during the recently concluded 1-2 ODI series defeat against England. Kohli had a quiet start after being dismissed cheaply in the opening game but bounced back strongly, scoring back-to-back half-centuries with knocks of 65 and 75 in the following matches.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma showcased his class in the series finale, returning to form with a brilliant 138-run innings. Following the series, former India cricketer Deep Dasgupta stated that there should be no debate over the duo’s place in the Indian team and shared his views on his YouTube channel.
“There is no conversation needed with them about their places in the team. Four years back, it wasn’t like they had to be reminded before every series that they would be in the team. They knew they would be in the team on the back of their performances. So how does that change now? It does not and should not change.”
