How Virat Kohli Performed In The ENG vs IND 2026 ODI Series?
The England tour marked Virat Kohli’s comeback to international cricket after he missed India’s three-match home ODI series against Afghanistan because of a hamstring injury. However, the veteran batter endured a forgettable start to the tour, managing just five runs off six deliveries in the opening ODI before being trapped leg before wicket by Jofra Archer.
Virat Kohli responded in style after the opening setback, scoring back-to-back half-centuries in the final two ODIs. He made 65 and 74 to finish the three-match series with 144 runs at an average of 48. However, England clinched the series 2-1 by winning the second and third ODIs.
Kohli is expected to return to action in India’s three-match home ODI series against the West Indies, which gets underway on September 27.
