[WATCH] “From Amsterdam To Desi-mode” – Former India Batter’s Training Video Goes Viral

In the world of cricket, veteran India player Suresh Raina has left an indelible mark with his impressive performances for the Indian cricket team and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). His exploits as a middle-order batter made him a star in the sport. Over the course of 205 IPL matches, Raina amassed 5528 runs with an average of 32.52.

He was a key member of the Indian teams that clinched the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy, further solidifying his stature as a vital player. Notably, Raina holds the distinction of being the first Indian to score a century in the Men’s T20 World Cup. He achieved this feat during the 2010 edition when he smashed a brilliant 101 against South Africa.

However, despite his illustrious career, Raina has recently announced his retirement from competitive cricket. Even after retiring, Raina continues to captivate fans with glimpses of his training sessions.

Recently, he posted a video on his Instagram handle, showcasing his traditional training style. In the caption, he wrote, “From Amsterdam to Desi-mode. Feels so good to be back home, hitting the grind and kick-starting the week in full motion! #mondaymotivation #believe #workout #reels #health.”

The video received an appreciative response from former India pacer Sreesanth, who was part of the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup-winning teams.

Moreover, it appears Raina’s influence extends beyond his playing days. Kolkata Knight Riders’ star, Rinku Singh, expressed his admiration for Raina, considering him his idol. Singh disclosed that he maintains regular contact with the former India and CSK star, who often provides valuable insights to enhance his game.  Additionally, Singh credited former India spinner Harbhajan Singh for his support during his career.

“Suresh Raina has been my idol. I am regularly in touch with him. He is the IPL King, and he keeps sharing his inputs with me. He has helped me a lot in my career.”

“Bhajju pa (Harbhajan Singh) has also helped me a lot in my career. I am grateful for their support, and whenever such big players talk about you, it motivates you to push yourself more,” Rinku expressed in an interview with RevSportz.

Undoubtedly, Suresh Raina’s impact on the cricketing world transcends boundaries, as he continues to inspire and guide the next generation of players, even in his retirement. His training video serves as a testament to his dedication and passion for the sport, leaving fans and fellow cricketers in awe of his unyielding spirit.
