Gujarat Titans (GT) recently won another exciting contest against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), on May 1, at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. Rahul Tewatia and David Miller again aided the Titans in keeping the victory streak uninterrupted, with their fifth consecutive triumph in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
GT opened the inning with a decent 50-run stand between openers Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha, followed by a few partnerships between middle-order batters, Hardik Pandya and B Sai Sudharsan. In the end, David Miller and Rahul Tewatia turned out to be the match-winners for GT, as their stellar partnership of 79* runs off 40 balls was enough for GT.
Other than the win, GT had another reason to rejoice as it was Gujarat Foundation Day, marking 62 years since the formation of the state of Gujarat. The GT official social media handles shared a video of players who seemed to be relishing the celebration, posing in traditional Gujarati outfits. The celebration took place on Sunday evening at the team hotel, where players and support staff tasted some elite Gujarati food and grooved to the music, and performed the Gujarati folk dance ‘Dandiya’.
