Hardik Pandya is one of the most lethal players that Indian Cricket has ever seen. He is a ‘3D’ player according to some pundits but he might be adding another dimension to his wide list of arrays. Captaincy and leadership qualities are the two things Hardik Pandya has been aiming at since the start of the IPL season.

Hardik is the captain of the new franchise Gujarat Titans (GT) and it is pretty evidently clear in the six games that they have played, that Hardik has been a brilliant captain. Brad Hogg, former Australian skipper gave his verdict about Hardik Pandya as a captain.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Hogg said, “If you have got a dominant bowling attack, you are bringing the cream to the top. Gujarat Titans are led well by Hardik Pandya. Now, I think he has been the best captain in IPL 2022 so far.”

He will lead India in white-ball cricket in two years time – Brad Hogg on Hardik Pandya

Brad Hogg is not the only person who believes that Hardik has been a great captain, the fans and other pundits agree with this statement. The former Aussie cricketer also backed Hardik Pandya as the future captain of India.

Hogg further added, “I won’t be surprised if he leads India in white-ball cricket in two years’ time. He is the leader; he takes the bull by its horns. When the pressure is on, he wants to be out there in the moment and take it on.”

Hardik Pandya has not played for India since the T20 World Cup in Dubai last year. He has been working really hard on his fitness. This can be seen in his form in both bat and ball in this IPL season.

Captaincy is one of the aspects, Hardik is still young in but given some time and he will mature just like other captains have by captaining teams in the IPL. Only time can tell if Hardik can bring glory to Gujarat Titans in the near future.
