Team India is currently taking on England in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022 in Adelaide on Thursday, November 10. While Virat Kohli and all-rounder Hardik Pandya played stunning knocks, it was Pandya’s dismissal made headlines as he was out hit-wicket off the last ball of the team’s innings as well.
Looking to play England pace bowler Chris Jordan to the square leg boundary, Hardik Pandya went too deep in his crease and ended up stepping on his stumps. However, he actually timed the delivery so brilliantly that the ball reached the boundary. But the stroke did not matter as he got out as well.
Here is how Hardik Pandya got out:

And, his dismissal brought to an end a terrific inning of 63 which came off only 33 balls. Because of his exploits, the Indian team ended up posting a competitive total of 168/6 in the knockout clash after losing the toss and being asked to bat by England as well.
However, Hardik Pandya slammed four fours and five sixes in his knock, making up for what has been a rather quiet tournament for him with the bat as well.

However, Team India got off to a poor start in their innings, losing opener KL Rahul for a mere 5. The veteran batter awkwardly pushed at a rising delivery outside off stump from Chris Woakes and was out. India captain Rohit Sharma’s poor run with the bat continued as he could manage only 27 off 28 balls, following a failed attempt to take on Jordan as well.
Moreover, the in-form batter Suryakumar Yadav got out for only 14 off 10 balls. Looking to go after leg-spinner Adil Rashid, he only managed to hit a slower delivery outside off stump to the fielder in the deep as well. With this, India were reduced to 75/3 in the 12th over. However, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya later did their best and helped the side put up a decent total.
