We often see various kinds of celebrations on the field – be it ‘Gangnam’ style or Sheldon Cottrell ‘salute’. However, this time, Pakistan player Haris Rauf came up with an out-of-the-box wicket celebrations idea recently while playing for Melbourne Stars.

However, he tried to be safe from the ‘Covid’ after the wicket celebration of Perth Scorchers player Kurtis Patterson. Haris Rauf, who faced slam in the past for his ‘throat slit’ celebration, pulled out his mask from his pocket and put it wear it on his face. He did this after showing a gesture of using sanitizer and cleansing his hands as well.

And, the celebration became an instant hit and it has already gone viral too. Here is the viral video of Haris Rauf:

As far as the game is concerned, Perth Scorchers registered a convincing win by 47 runs over Melbourne Stars, who were playing their second game within 15 hours. And, their fatigue was clearly visible too. However, Scorchers registered their 10th win of the season and finished as top-two teams as well.

While batting first, Scorchers put up 196/3, with opener Nick Robson leading the charge with 36-ball 46 and later Laurie Evans (69 off 46) and Ashton Turner (47* off 36) joined hands to add 117 runs in the last 10 overs to take the total to a decent level.

On the other hand, Beau Webster tried his best in the run chase, making 63 off 47, as Stars could only manage 149 runs with the loss of 9 wickets as well, whereas Matthew Kelly finished with 4 for 25.
