Ever since Rajasthan Royals acquired Yuzvendra Chahal at the IPL 2022 mega auction, the cricketer has set the social media platform on fire. From replacing Sanju Samson as Rajasthan Royals’ skipper to asking fans to retweet his post if they want to see him open the batting alongside Jos Buttler, is certainly having great fun in the new team.
On March 16, Chahal had tweeted a picture of him batting for India from RR’s Twitter handle and captioned it saying “10,000 retweets and he will open with @josbuttler uncle”.
And now, Yuzvendra Chahal is seen asking Buttler to open the batting with him. In a video shared by the Rajasthan franchise on Thursday, the veteran leg-spinner was heard saying:
“Joshy bhai, come open with me.”
Jos Buttler turned to Chahal when he called out his name, but as soon as Chahal asked his question, he held his head in disguise. All-rounder Jimmy Neesham, who was sitting beside Buttler, also couldn’t hide his laughter.

“Ashwin and Chahal are two of the best spinners in the world” – Jos Buttler
Rajasthan Royals (RR) superstar Rajasthan Royals have joined the training ahead of IPL 2022. He missed the second part of IPL 2021 but is back in the pink jersey and is looking forward to the tournament.
Speaking about the Rajasthan franchise, the 31-year-old said that they will bank on the spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal to deliver the good for the side.
“It’s a really exciting time for the team, you know, to start a new cycle and build a new team. The aim here is to win the IPL, and I can’t wait to contribute to that,” Buttler said in an RR release.
“We are delighted to have so many great players in the squad. Obviously, (Ravichandran) Ashwin and (Yuzvendra) Chahal are two of the best spinners in the world, and with a great pace attack, I think it’s really exciting.
“Then we’ve got a strong batting line-up, along with great all-round options, so I think it’s going to be a really exciting IPL for us,” he added.
Rajasthan Royals will kick-off their IPL 2022 campaign on March 29 at the MCA Stadium in Pune against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
