India finally had luck on their side at the toss and opted to bowl first in the third T20I against Australia on Sunday, aiming to level the series after trailing 0-1 following a four-wicket defeat in the second match at the MCG in Sydney. During the early stages of the game, a light-hearted moment occurred between Josh Inglis and Jasprit Bumrah.
In his opening over, Jasprit Bumrah delivered a sharp in-swinger that caught Josh Inglis off guard. Attempting a reverse sweep to a length delivery, the Australian completely missed the ball, which went on to hit him on the left thigh, close to the groin area.
Taken by surprise, Inglis managed a smile and was heard on the stump mic saying, “That swung heaps.” The moment quickly went viral on social media, with fans lauding Bumrah’s exceptional swing bowling and appreciating Inglis’s composed and humorous reaction to the near-mishap.

India Dominate Early As Arshdeep Singh And Bowlers Reduce Australia To 84/4 In 3rd T20I
Inglis, however, failed to leave a mark with the bat. After Travis Head’s early dismissal by Arshdeep Singh in the opening over, Inglis became the next casualty for Australia. Facing Arshdeep again in the third over, the right-hander attempted a pull shot to a length ball angled outside the leg stump but mistimed it straight to Axar Patel at deep backward square leg.
By the halfway stage of the innings, India’s decision to bowl first had paid dividends. The visitors had Australia struggling at 84/4 after 10 overs, with Marcus Stoinis batting on 8 off 6 and Tim David spearheading the resistance with 57 off 28 balls. India’s bowlers maintained tight lines and struck at regular intervals, setting up what promised to be a thrilling chase ahead.
