[WATCH]- KL Rahul Laughs Off Toss Woes As India Lose Again Vs South Africa In 2nd ODI

Team India captain KL Rahul shared a humorous reaction after the Men in Blue once again lost the toss before the second ODI against South Africa. The match is underway in Raipur on Wednesday, December 3. South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma won the toss and chose to field, sending India in to bat first.

This marks India’s 20th consecutive toss defeat, extending their ongoing struggle to win the toss. Leading the team in Shubman Gill’s absence due to injury, KL Rahul joked at the toss that despite practising, things didn’t go as planned. He laughed off the loss and admitted that it brought him the most pressure.

“Honestly, this is the most pressure I’ve had because we haven’t won the toss in a long time. So I’ve been practicing, but clearly it is not working,” he said. (via Star Sports)

The Men in Blue retained the same playing XI from their previous match. KL Rahul noted that there were plenty of positives to build on, which boosted the team’s confidence. India had defeated South Africa by 17 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. In the second ODI in Raipur, the hosts will look to secure another win and clinch the series before the final game.

KL Rahul Aims To Lead From The Front And Maintain His Form

KL Rahul played a pivotal role in India’s win in the first ODI, contributing significantly with the bat. Coming in at number six, the right-hander scored a crucial half-century, making 60 runs off 56 balls with a strike rate of 107.14, including two boundaries and three sixes.

His innings helped India post a competitive total of 349/8, which proved just enough as they later bowled out South Africa for 332. Rahul will be eager to continue his fine form and lead from the front in the second ODI as India look to clinch the series.
