India’s left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav delivered a decisive blow to the West Indies by picking up two wickets in the span of three deliveries on Day 4 (Monday, October 13) of the second Test in Delhi at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. On the third delivery of the 92nd over in West Indies’ second innings, Kuldeep tossed one up on the leg-stump line.
Roston Chase went back to work it towards the on-side but mistimed the shot, causing the ball to loop towards straight mid-wicket. Devdutt Padikkal remained alert and took a sharp catch, sending the West Indies captain back for a well-made 40 off 72 balls. Kuldeep struck once more on the fifth ball of the over, this time removing Khary Pierre.
The spinner bowled a flighted delivery, and the left-hander attempted a big shot across the line. However, he only managed to sky the ball towards mid-off, where Nitish Kumar Reddy completed an easy catch, dismissing Pierre for a two-ball duck. You can watch the video here:

India Recover Strongly Despite Twin Centuries In 2nd Test
After winning the toss and choosing to bat, India declared their first innings at 518/5, with Yashasvi Jaiswal top-scoring with 175. In reply, the West Indies were bundled out for 248 in 81.5 overs, with Kuldeep Yadav impressing with a five-wicket haul. India enforced the follow-on, but the visitors offered more resistance in their second innings.
John Campbell and Shai Hope put together a resilient 177-run partnership for the third wicket off 294 balls. Campbell scored his maiden Test century with 115 runs, while Hope added 103. However, following their dismissals, India’s bowlers staged a strong comeback, reducing the West Indies from 271/3 to 311/9.
At the time of reporting, the visitors were 314/9, with Justin Greaves (10) and Jayden Seales (1) at the crease, holding a slender lead of 44 runs.
