Kuldeep Yadav claimed his first wicket of the match by dismissing Alick Athanaze on Day 2 of the second Test between India and the West Indies at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, on Saturday, October 11. Athanaze, who had just been struck on the helmet by Jasprit Bumrah, was out for 41 on the very next ball, as the visitors slumped to 106 for three.
The wicket fell in the 33rd over of West Indies’ first innings. Kuldeep delivered a well-tossed ball on off stump, tempting Athanaze into a risky slog-sweep. The shot lacked elevation, allowing Ravindra Jadeja to take a straightforward catch at mid-wicket. You can watch the video here:

Jadeja and Kuldeep shine after Jaiswal and Gill in IND vs WI 2nd Test
Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav produced a clinical bowling display as India dominated the West Indies on Day 2 of the second Test. Jadeja picked up three crucial wickets, dismissing John Campbell, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, and captain Roston Chase. At the time of writing, WI were 107/4 after 34 overs, with Shai Hope and wicketkeeper-batter Tevin Imlach at the crease.
Batting first, India declared at 518/5 in their opening innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal starred with 175 off 258 balls, hitting 22 boundaries, while captain Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 129 off 196 deliveries, with 16 boundaries and two sixes. Sai Sudharsan narrowly missed out on a century, making 87 off 165 balls.
Dhruv Jurel, Nitish Reddy, and KL Rahul added 44, 43, and 38 runs respectively. Jomel Warrican was the pick of the West Indies bowlers, claiming three wickets. India lead the two-match series 1-0 after a massive innings-and-140-run win in the first Test at Ahmedabad.
A series victory would maintain their 100 percent winning record against WI since 2002, and the Men in Blue have not lost a home Test to the West Indies since the 1994/95 series.
