The left-arm wrist-spinner also shared a video capturing the moment when Suryakumar was cutting the cake, with his teammates cheering in the background.

Kuldeep Yadav’s exceptional five-wicket performance against Pakistan in the Super Fours of the ongoing Asia Cup contributed significantly to India’s dominant 228-run victory.
However, due to a reserve day, India had to play against Sri Lanka immediately after the Pakistan match. In a video shared by the BCCI, Kuldeep had a conversation with Suryakumar Yadav, where he discussed how SKY’s encouragement prevented him from becoming complacent.
Kuldeep expressed his gratitude to Suryakumar Yadav for playing a vital role in keeping him focused and motivated.
“I was confident after picking the five-wicket haul, but there was a bit of complacency and a pep talk with you (SKY) for two minutes made me understand that I need to be hungry once again for the wickets today for my team and should not slack because of the five wickets. So thank you Surya Bhai for that.”
Kuldeep Yadav delivered another outstanding performance, securing four wickets to propel India to a 41-run victory over Sri Lanka and secure a place in the Asia Cup 2023 final. Notably, he has set a record as the quickest Indian spinner to achieve 150 ODI wickets, accomplishing this feat in just 88 matches.
