Team India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj recreated a famous celebration of renowned footballer Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘siuu’ celebration after dismissing Rassie van der Dussen on day 3 of the 1st Test.
Beginning the day 272/3, India lost their final 7 wickets for 49 runs, thanks to some brilliant fast bowling from the South African pacers. Lungi Ngidi was the pick of the bowlers picking up 6 wickets while Kagiso Rabada ended with 3 wickets.
But that disappointment did not exude among bowlers, with Jasprit Bumrah providing the opening breakthrough after just five balls dismissing South Africa’s skipper Dean Elgar. Mohammed Shami then chipped in with two more wickets in the early parts of the second session before Mohammed Siraj got the all-important wicket of Van der Dussen.
The excitement of picking a wicket after many overs of hard work is the most priceless feeling possible, and it made the Indian fast bowler emulate Manchester United footballer Cristiano Ronaldo‘s celebration. Right after Ajinkya Rahane completed that brilliant catch, Mohammed Siraj did the “Siuu” celebration, one we often see from Ronaldo when he scores a goal.

Quinton de Kock departs after a good start
Reeling at 32/4 under deep trouble, Quinton de Kock paired with Temba Bavuma to revive the innings in reply to India’s first innings score of 327 runs. Apart from a drop chance in the slip by KL Rahul, the Proteas duo looked confident and played shots of the middle of the bat.
Just when things looked settled for the home side, Shardul Thakur chipped in a wicket of De Kock to put India back on top. The South Africa wicket-keeper tried to play a shot away from the body only to find the inside edge before it crashed onto the stumps.
South Africa are currently at 109/5 with Bavuma (32) and Wiaan Mulder in the middle.
