Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni is looking in good touch ahead of their clash against Delhi Capitals on April 10 (Saturday) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The former India cricketer will return to action for the first time since IPL 2020 and will be desperate to lead the side from the front.
Incidentally, Chennai had an awful season in the UAE finish seventh in the points table, and failing to make it to the playoffs for the first time in the history of the tournament. MS Dhoni also didn’t look in full swing finishing with only 200 runs from 12 outings. He did not hit any half-century and also smashed only 7 sixes in the tournament.
MS Dhoni gears up for IPL 2021
Speaking in the wake of his poor season, MS Dhoni had also mentioned that last year’s lockdown had made things difficult for him and he could not practice much ahead of the IPL 2020. However, things have changed in this season and MS Dhoni has been practicing a lot ahead of the tournament. The veteran wicket-keeper batsman has looked in the nets tonking bowlers for massive sixes at the nets.
“Thala’s Power!” Chennai Super Kings tweeted while sharing the video.

Chennai Super Kings look to make a winning start
The three-time IPL champions will be desperate to make a winning start after enduring a poor session in the last edition. The addition of Suresh Raina, who is their highest run-scorer and second-highest scorer in the IPL, in their line-up will bolster Chennai’s batting unit. However, the management will face the problem of plenty while filling their four overseas quotas.
English all-rounder Sam Curran, who left an impression during the India-England limited-overs series, will give seasoned West Indies all-rounder Dwyane Bravo a run for the money for a place in the playing XI. Faf du Plessis looks like a sure-shot starter along with Moeen Ali and Imran Tahir for the other spots.
