[WATCH]- Prithvi Shaw Attends Viral Motwani’s Birthday Bash Before Ranji Trophy 2024-25

Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw was spotted attending Virral Motanni’s birthday celebration ahead of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25. Shaw arrived at the venue in a car, wearing a cap and a mask. As he entered, fans surrounded him, requesting pictures and selfies.

One person in the crowd was heard encouraging him with a message of support, saying, “Strong comeback hoga (You will come back strong).” Shaw has faced criticism recently, both for his on-field performances and off-field controversies.

The cricketer last represented Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 but was excluded from the squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. It is yet to be determined if Prithvi Shaw will secure a spot in Mumbai’s squad for the upcoming Ranji Trophy. The right-handed batter recently shared a cryptic message on his official Instagram account.

“You can take me out of the game, but you can’t stop me working,” he wrote.

Prithvi Shaw: A Journey Through His Cricketing Career

At 25, Prithvi Shaw was once regarded as one of Indian cricket’s brightest prospects. However, he has recently fallen out of favor for various reasons. In his Test career, Shaw has played five matches, scoring 339 runs at an average of 42.37, including a century and two fifties.

In ODIs, he has featured in six games, amassing 189 runs at an average of 31.50 and a strike rate of 113.85, with a top score of 49. His T20I experience is limited to a single match, in which he failed to score.

In his domestic career, Prithvi Shaw has featured in 58 first-class matches, scoring 4,556 runs at an impressive average of 46.02, including 13 centuries and 18 half-centuries.

In List A cricket, he has played 65 matches, amassing 3,399 runs at an average of 55.72, with 10 centuries and 14 fifties. He made his international T20I debut for India against Sri Lanka in Colombo in July 2021.
