South Africa’s Quinton de Kock produced another lightning-fast stumping to dismiss Venkatesh Iyer in the 2nd ODI against India at Boland Park in Paarl. The Proteas pulled back things to restrict the visitors at after a good start.

The incident took place in the 44th over when de Kock proved yet again why he is one of the best wicket-keepers in the business at present. Rishabh Pant the last game and Venkatesh Iyer today.

It was a slower short of length delivery sliding down the leg-side and Iyer looked for a tickle and overbalances in the process to give that fraction of a second to Quinton de Kock to effect a really sharp stumping.

The back feet was up in the air for a flash of a second and that was good enough for de Kock to whip off the bails in a jiffy.

Having won the toss, India were 179/2 at the end of 31 overs riding on the fifties from KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant. A break, however, stalled the momentum with dismissals of both the set batters.

The scars of the middle-order got exposed with both Shreyas and Venkatesh Iyer struggling to get out of the spin web, eventually exposing the bowlers for the slog overs. Shardul Thakur and Ravichandran Ashwin added a 48-run stand for the seventh wicket to post 287 runs on the board for South Africa to chase.
