Rajasthan Royals’ superstar Rahul Tewatia left the fans in awe after taking an igneous catch during their match against Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Delhi stumbled throughout their innings and managed only 147 runs in their quota of 20 overs with skipper Rishabh Pant leading the batting with a half-century run knock.
Asked to bat first, Delhi Capitals were in all sorts of trouble. Jaydev Undakat took only six balls to strike dismissing Prithvi Shaw and draw the first blood before removing the other opener, Shikhar Dhawan. The wickets tumbled on with Unadkat and Mustafizur Rahman making things tough for Delhi Capitals batters taking the pace off the delivery.
Struggling at 37 four, debutant Lalit Yadav joined Rishabh Pant in the middle and the duo added 51 runs for the fifth wicket with Pant doing the bulk of the scoring knocking a half-century. But the dismissal of Pant led to another downslide for the Delhi side. Lalit was next in line thanks to a brilliant catch from Rahul Tewatia running backward.
Rahul Tewatia takes a well-judged catch
It was pitched on a length by Chris Morris angling into the gut and cramping Lalit Yadav for any room. The youngster gets his weight back and launches a checked punch over the top of mid-on, but Rahul Tewatia ran backwards to take an extremely well-judged catch.
