Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja bowled a stunner of a delivery to clean up Angelo Mathews in the morning session of day 3 of the Bengaluru Test against Sri Lanka. The veteran all-rounder managed only one run of five balls before Jadeja knocked him over.
Meanwhile, Kusal Mendis and Dimuth Karunaratne got the Islanders off to a rollicking start with Mendis unleashing his shots against the Indian bowlers. He soon marched to his half-century while the Sri Lankan captain was cautious in his approach.
Just when things were looking bright for the visiting team, Ravichandran Ashwin got the better of Mendis before Ravindra Jadeja breached Angelow Mathews’ defence.
The incident took place in the 21st over the match when Jadeja bowled an arm delivery that went straight with the arm. Mathews made the mistake of playing for the turn, leaving a big gap between bat and pad.
The ball sneaked through and hits the top of leg-stump. Ravindra Jadeja created the doubt with one that spun away and then slipped in a straight one to put India on top.

Dhananjaya De Silva also followed the suit leaving Sri Lanka at 105/4. However, Niroshan Dickwella, promoted ahead of Charith Asalanka held the fort along with his captain, showing some fight as he thwarted the Indians, who were relentless with the ball.
It was absorbing session of play with 123 runs being scored while India picked up three wickets. The home side will manage to dismiss Dimuth Karunaratne, who is batting at 67, as they have an eye on the silverware.
