India’s vice-captain Rishabh Pant was spotted wearing the wicketkeeping gloves during the team’s practice session on Monday, July 21, as he continues his recovery from a finger injury. The fourth Test of the five-match series between India and England is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 23, at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester.
Pant had sustained an injury to his left index finger during the second session on Day 1 of the Lord’s Test and did not keep wickets for the rest of the match, with Dhruv Jurel stepping in behind the stumps. Despite the injury, Pant featured in both innings with the bat, scoring 74 and 9, though India narrowly lost the game by 22 runs while chasing 193.
Now, in a positive sign for Team India, Pant was once again seen keeping wickets during practice ahead of the crucial Manchester clash. He was accompanied in the slip cordon by KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Shubman Gill, and Sai Sudharsan. You can watch the video here:

Injury Concerns Loom For India Ahead Of 4th Test Clash
On Monday, July 21, the BCCI issued an official statement regarding injuries to Arshdeep Singh and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Arshdeep has been ruled out of the upcoming fourth Test after suffering a blow to his left thumb during a training session in Beckenham.
In the meantime, Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out for the rest of the series due to a left knee injury and will be returning home. To bolster the squad, uncapped fast bowler Anshul Kamboj has been added as a replacement and has joined the team in Manchester.
