A heartwarming moment indeed on the field, as Rohit Sharma consoled his former captain Virat Kohli, mourning his own dismissal. This very gesture cast light on the friendship and sportsmanship shared between these two cricketing legends of India.
Intense passion and competition are the aspects of Kohli’s personality. He felt the pain for walking away from a promising innings. Breaking away from Kohli’s disappointments was Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain, who was fast to move in on Kohli’s positives.
Rohit went to Kohli, congratulating him on a good knock, one that reflected his character, sweat, and skill on that day. The “Ro-KO moment,” as it was later termed, aptly captured the bond and respect accorded to each other from the two players’ standpoint, the necessity of teamwork on and off the field in the cutthroat environment of international cricket.

Virat Kohli missed out on a century against England in the last One Day International match at Ahmedabad. Kohli missed a deserving century against England in the ODI match after having batted at number three, scoring 52 runs off 55 balls before being dismissed by Adil Rashid.
The English spinner bowled a ball full in length, which turned wickedly after pitching, drawing a thin edge from Kohli’s bat. Phil Salt made a good catch behind the stumps, sending Kohli back to the dressing room.
Kohli’s dismissal occurred in the 19th over, breaking a vital stand between him and Shubman Gill. It was an important point in the game when Rashid came into the attack at the behest of England captain Jos Buttler.
Rashid’s brilliant delivery removed Kohli, who was looking set for a big one. However, Kohli’s contribution of 52 runs off 55 was valuable for the Indian innings.
