Veteran New Zealand batter Ross Taylor had a dream end to his Test career as he picked up the wicket of Ebadot Hossain on the last ball of the match as New Zealand levelled the two-match Test series 1-1. The Kiwis prevailed over the visitors with a huge win by innings and 117 runs.

Skipper Tom Latham handed the ball to Ross Taylor in the 79th over of the Bangladesh second innings. Ebadot blocked the first 2 balls of the over but couldn’t stop himself from slogging the third ball.

The ball went straight into the hands of Latham, who was fielding at mid-wicket, who took a good catch. It was a kind of fairy-tale ending as the whole team gather around Ross Taylor to celebrate the victory and a great Test career.

Even the crowd at the Hagley Oval in, Christchurch were on its feet to applaud the veteran cricketer for one final time in Test cricket.
