New Zealand and Australia will take on each other in the final of the 2021 T20 World Cup. However, in the semi-final, Devon Conway smashed at his bat after getting dismissed and he eventually got injured and ruled out as well.

But, he can be seen helping his team prepare for the final of the T20 World Cup as well. Devon Conway was seen giving practice to Tim Seifert, who will don the wicket-keeper’s gloves in Sunday’s final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

However, both teams have finished at the second spot on the group stage and then beat their opponents in the semi-final. While for Kiwis, there were a few expectations considering they have been in great form in recent times, for Australia, it has been a team effort as well.

Meanwhile, in the semi-finals, both teams had a similar fate as they were nearly on the verge of getting knocked out but the batting unit stepped up in the final overs and they eventually helped them win the respective games.

For New Zealand, Devon Conway did well to stabilize the ship after a few early wickets in the semis. On the other hand, it was Stoinis and Wade whose quickfire cameos helped the side.

However, former India captain Sourav Ganguly backed New Zealand to emerge the winner. They are all set to take on Australia in the summit clash on Sunday in Dubai. However, both teams are yet to win a T20 World Cup as well.

He said that it might be New Zealand’s time to shine in International cricket more now. His comments came as New Zealand have been quite consistent for the last few years across formats. They already won the World Test Championship (WTC) beating India in the final.

“I feel it is New Zealand’s time in world sport. Australia are a great nation, but they have had a tough time for a while, though they have been a great cricketing country. New Zealand has a lot more guts and character than we see on TV. They won the World Test Championship a few months ago. It’s a small country but it’s got a lot of steel. I have the feeling that it is indeed New Zealand’s time,” said Ganguly while speaking at the 40th Sharjah International Book Fair on Saturday.
