[WATCH]- Sachin Tendulkar Smashes Stunning Upper Cut For Six In IML T20 2025 Final

India Masters captain Sachin Tendulkar rolled back the years with his signature upper-cut shot on Sunday, March 16, during the International Masters League T20 (IMLT20) 2025 final against West Indies Masters at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.

Batting first, West Indies got off to a strong start with Dwayne Smith, despite early dismissals of Brian Lara (6) and William Perkins (6). However, Shahbaz Nadeem bowled Smith (45), who looked threatening during his stay.

Lendl Simmons (57) fought a lone battle as West Indies set a modest target of 148. Vinay Kumar was India’s standout bowler, claiming three wickets. In reply, Ambati Rayudu and Sachin Tendulkar gave India a solid start with an attacking approach.

During the sixth over, Jerome Taylor delivered a short ball outside off-stump, prompting the 51-year-old to execute a classic upper cut, sending the ball for six over the third-man boundary. You can watch the video here:

Though Tendulkar was dismissed for 25 off 18 by Tino Best, Ambati Rayudu (74) kept India on track with a brilliant knock. Stuart Binny (16*) and Yuvraj Singh (13*) remained unbeaten, confidently guiding the team to victory in the 18th over.

Sachin Tendulkar finished as India’s second-highest run-getter in IMLT20 2025

India Masters captain Sachin Tendulkar had a strong campaign in IMLT20 2025, scoring 181 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 153.38, with a top score of 64 against Australia. Ambati Rayudu was India’s leading run-scorer, accumulating 188 runs at a strike rate of 142.42, including two half-centuries.

Yuvraj Singh followed as the third-highest scorer with 179 runs at an incredible average of 179, highlighted by his 59 off 30 balls in the semifinal against Australia. In the bowling department, Pawan Negi led the charts with nine wickets, followed by Vinay Kumar (8) and Stuart Binny (7).
