[WATCH]- 51-Year-Old Sachin Tendulkar Blasts Iconic Six During 64-Run IML Knock

India Masters captain Sachin Tendulkar played a fiery knock of 64 off 33 balls in the International Masters League (IML) T20 2025 match against Australia Masters. His innings featured a stunning straight six off Ben Hilfenhaus.

The match took place at Vadodara’s newly built BCA Stadium on March 5. Batting first, Australia Masters put up a massive 269/1 in 20 overs, powered by unbeaten centuries from Shane Watson (110* off 52) and Ben Dunk (132* off 53).

In pursuit of 270, India Masters started aggressively, led by Tendulkar’s explosive batting. He struck seven fours and four sixes, including a brilliant shot over the bowler’s head in the third over against Hilfenhaus. You can watch the video here:

On the very next delivery of the over, Hilfenhaus bowled a short ball. Sachin Tendulkar quickly positioned himself and executed a perfectly timed pull shot, sending the ball soaring over the leg side for another six. Fans praised Sachin’s performance:

Despite Sachin Tendulkar’s brilliant knock, India Masters suffered a 95-run defeat

Despite Tendulkar’s impressive innings, India Masters were dismissed for 174 while chasing Australia Masters’ massive 269/1. The rest of the Indian batting lineup struggled, with Yusuf Pathan being the next highest scorer, contributing 25 off 15 balls.

Left-arm spinner Xavier Doherty played a pivotal role in Australia’s victory, claiming the tournament’s first five-wicket haul with impressive figures of 5/25, securing their maiden win of the campaign. Shane Watson and Ben Dunk’s unbeaten 236-run stand powered Australia Masters to 269/1, with both scoring centuries.

Despite Tendulkar’s heroics, India Masters fell short of the massive target. India Masters felt the impact of Yuvraj Singh’s absence. It remains to be seen whether he returns to the playing XI for their final league-stage match against West Indies Masters on March 8 at Raipur’s Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium.

Despite the setback, India Masters lead the points table with six points from four matches.
