Sanjana Ganesan, wife of Jasprit Bumrah, along with their son Angad, was present at the IPL 2025 match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Sunday, April 27. Bumrah delivered an outstanding performance for MI, finishing with impressive bowling figures of 4-0-22-4.

Angad sported a Mumbai Indians (MI) jersey during the match. Photos of him sitting alongside Sanjana Ganesan in the stands quickly went viral on social media during the game. As of now, the Mumbai Indians (MI) are ranked 3rd in the IPL 2025 points table. They have secured 12 points from 10 matches, with a net run rate (NRR) of +0.889.
“Glad he’s on my side” – Will Jacks on Jasprit Bumrah after LSG spell
Will Jacks was named ‘Player of the Match’ in the MI vs LSG encounter, having scored 29 runs off 21 balls and taken two wickets. During the post-match presentation, he praised Jasprit Bumrah’s outstanding performance, expressing his satisfaction at being on the same team as the fast bowler.
Jacks highlighted how difficult it is to face Bumrah, even in the nets. He shared his thoughts with ESPNcricinfo:
“He’s an incredible bowler. I’ve had the displeasure of facing him in the nets in the last few weeks and it’s not enjoyable. I’m happy he’s on my team. He’s so incredibly skillful I think. You can’t say how good he is really with words, he’s just amazing to watch!”
Jasprit Bumrah became the highest wicket-taker for MI in the IPL, with 174 wickets from 139 matches, surpassing Lasith Malinga’s record of 170 wickets. Mumbai Indians (MI) will next face Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Thursday, May 1.
