[WATCH] ‘Seeing Some Light In The Dark Tunnel’ – Rishabh Pant Gives Update On His Recovery

Rishabh Pant has made impressive strides in his recovery process. India’s wicketkeeper-batsman, Rishabh Pant, has made remarkable strides in his rehabilitation following a serious car accident on December 30, 2022.

The 25-year-old is undergoing rigorous training at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru to expedite his return to the cricket field. Pant recently shared a glimpse of his training regimen with fans on Monday, September 4.

In a brief video, the Indian cricketer can be observed engaged in intense high-knee running exercises under the watchful eye of his trainer. It’s worth noting that in a recent practice match, Pant had difficulties with his running, prompting him to focus on improving his fitness and agility to regain full batting form.

The wicketkeeper-batsman posted a brief video on his Instagram story along with the caption, “Seeing some light in the dark tunnel.”

The cricketer from Haridwar has been absent from key events in the current year, including the IPL 2023, the 2023 World Test Championship final, and the Asia Cup. Additionally, he won’t be able to participate in the upcoming ODI World Cup, set to be held in India from October 05.

Ishan Kishan excelling in Pant’s absence

In the absence of Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan has impressed with his outstanding batting performances over the past few months. He was recognized as the Player of the Series for being the top run-scorer in the recent three-match ODI series against West Indies.

Kishan amassed 184 runs in three innings, boasting an average of 61.33 and a strike rate of 111.51, with three half-centuries to his credit. He also displayed exceptional composure under pressure during India’s opening match in the 2023 Asia Cup against Pakistan. The 25-year-old played a brilliant innings of 82 runs from 81 balls, featuring nine fours and two sixes.

His pivotal 138-run partnership with Hardik Pandya (87 off 90) rescued India from a difficult situation when they were struggling at 66/4. With KL Rahul still recovering from injury, Kishan’s outstanding form has resolved India’s wicketkeeping dilemmas.
