On the fourth delivery of the over, T Natarajan managed to dismiss him. Delivering a full toss, the pacer induced Hetmyer to loft the ball straight into the hands of the fielder at long-on.
Hetmyer accumulated 13 runs off 9 deliveries, and his dismissal resulted in Rajasthan Royals losing their fifth wicket. Following Hetmyer’s departure, Rovman Powell (27) made a valiant effort with the bat and pushed the game to the final over.
However, Bhuvneshwar Kumar displayed his expertise with the ball and secured the victory for his team. Requiring two runs off the last ball, the pacer dismissed the batsman, sealing the game with a one-run victory for his team.
Cummins and Bhuvi showed their class at the end -Travis Head’s remarks following Sunrisers Hyderabad’s victory
Travis Head, who delivered a superb innings scoring 58 runs, expressed his joy at his team’s victory. He commended the outstanding bowling performances of Pat Cummins and Bhuvneshwar Kumar towards the end of the match, describing the win as significant, especially after two consecutive losses.
Head also noted that the pitch presented challenges, but the team’s senior pacers showcased their expertise with the ball. Regarding this, he commented:
“It’s a good win, it’s probably one that we didn’t expect at the end there. Cummins and Bhuvi showed their class at the end and got us a nice win. We’ve been playing well, we’ve had a couple of losses, nice for the energy.”
“It was challenging but with the wicket and the way Pat bowled the 19th over, he’d be disappointed with the last ball, but class at the end, two class players, two of the old boys. Very satisfied with the win. I thought that (201) was a great score,” he concluded.
