Shimron Hetmyer And Sanju Samson Rejoice As Jos Buttler Scores A Century

Rajasthan Royals’ opener Jos Buttler found his form in the IPL 2024 season with a remarkable century, leading his team to victory against the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday, April 6.

As the match approached its conclusion in the 20th over, there was excitement surrounding whether Buttler would achieve his sixth IPL century. He stood at 94 runs, with the Royals requiring just one run to secure the win.

Jos Buttler struck a back-of-the-length delivery from Cameron Green towards mid-wicket, but he didn’t make solid contact with the ball. Initially, non-striker Shimron Hetmyer thought it was a missed opportunity, as he too believed Buttler hadn’t managed to clear the boundary.

However, the left-handed batter was thrilled when he noticed the ball landing just beyond the boundary rope. Buttler had achieved the six required not only to secure victory for his team but also to complete a magnificent century.

The entire RR dugout erupted with excitement, with players like Yuzvendra Chahal and Sanju Samson sporting broad smiles. Buttler himself leaped in joy and embraced Hetmyer after reaching his hundred.

Here’s the video capturing the reactions of the RR team immediately after the winning shot:

The players’ happiness for Buttler showed how well they get along in the team. This good teamwork is why RR is doing so well, sitting at the top with four wins out of four games.

Jos Buttler didn’t allow RCB any opportunity to make a comeback in the chase

While RCB managed to dismiss Yashasvi Jaiswal without scoring, the partnership between Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson shifted the game’s momentum in favour of the home team. Faf du Plessis entrusted Mayank Dagar with the sixth over, where Buttler aggressively scored 18 runs off the left-arm spinner, further enhancing the hosts’ advantage.

Buttler continued to score boundaries consistently, exposing RCB’s ineffective bowling once again. His excellent form, previously a concern for the Royals, has now been addressed.
