[WATCH]- Team India Enjoys Fun Fielding Drill Before 2025 IND vs ENG 3rd T20I

Ahead of the third T20I against England, Team India participated in a lively fielding drill. The match will take place at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on Tuesday, January 28. The Indian squad is in high spirits, having secured a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

They triumphed by seven wickets in the first match in Kolkata and followed it up with a nail-biting two-wicket win in the previous game at MA Chidambaram Stadium. In preparation for today’s match, the players were spotted enjoying themselves during a fielding session.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a short video on Instagram, offering fans a sneak peek into India’s training session. In the video, a member of the support staff was observed introducing a unique fielding drill to the players. The cricketers were split into two teams.

One team used a tennis racket to hit a tennis ball as high as possible, while a player from the opposing team, wearing a helmet, had to deflect the ball off his head, with another teammate attempting to catch it with one hand.

“The right energy 🔋 The perfect synergy 🌀 #TeamIndia 🇮🇳 all in readiness for the 3rd T20I in Rajkot 💪🏻,” the BCCI captioned the video.

Sanju Samson Talks About the Young and Vibrant Atmosphere in the Indian Team

Senior wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson shared his thoughts on the team’s atmosphere, describing it as a youthful group filled with playful banter and camaraderie among the players. He emphasized that the energy in the dressing room is vibrant. In the video mentioned, Samson said:

“Yeah, it’s a young and vibrant team. I think lots of banter, and lots of friendship that you see in these drills.”

”Energy speads from one another so if you have a low energy people have it with you and share actually and if you have a high energy, if you have a positive energy, that also spreads. That’s what we saw here. Great energy in the team. So, just enjoying it.”
