Watch: Team India’s Preparation Ahead Of The Sri Lanka Series

India

Ahead of the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka, the Team India cricketers are sweating it out in the nets. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to social media to share a video from the team’s training session.

The BCCI tweeted: “Prep & More Prep. Batting, Bowling, Fielding #TeamIndia in the groove for the Sri Lanka series”

In the video, the Indian batsmen were seen honing their big-hitting skills. Shikhar Dhawan, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya were smacking the bowlers all around the park. India’s bowling brigade looked in good rhythm while getting into the groove ahead of the series.

Head coach Rahul Dravid spent some time guiding the Indian batsmen before heading to India’s fielding session. The boys were practicing high catches near the boundary ropes along with fielding coach Abhay Sharma.

Recently, the Indian team also played an Intrasquad simulation game. The whole squad was divided into two teams – Dhawan XI and Bhuvi XI. The Dhawan XI batted first and scored 154 runs for four wickets in 20 overs. Manish Pandey scored 63 runs off 45 balls. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets. The Bhuvi XI’s batsmen chased down the target in just 17 overs. Openers Prithvi Shaw and Devdutt Padikkal’s 60-run stand along with Suryakumar’s half-century sealed the deal for them.
